The Paper Retriever program is an award winning recycling program provided to schools and churches. Beginning in 1994, the program has grown to serve nearly every school district in the Houston area and is at over 1500 sites throughout the city. Most people recognize the Green & Yellow containers at these locations or the playful dog logo on our trucks and bins.

  • What items do you accept?

    Anything that’s paper. Newspaper, Magazines, Office Paper, Mail, Cardboard, etc.
  • When are the bins emptied?

    The frequency depends on the volume generated. In general, the bins will be serviced either: Every Other Week, Weekly, or Monthly.
  • How much paper does a bin hold?

    A full bin can weigh as much as 1,800 pounds.
  • What happens to the material we recycle?

    It's sorted to mill specifications and shipped to paper mills as raw material to make new paper.
  • How big is the recycling container?

    It's roughly 6 x 6 x 6 feet.
